Quote of the Whenever I Feel Like Changing It
“And don 't forget, the next time you're planning a family vacation, consider visiting Genovia. A country of majestic mountains and sunbaked beaches, filled with friendly, peppy people. Come see us. Genovia awaits you.” – Joe, “The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement”

So, I went out today because I finally got my paychecks mailed to me, and then I was going to go shopping. So I'm heading down the street and I pull into the left turn lane, but lo and behold, I notice a car is trying to poke through the line of cars next to me (there had to be at least 10) and get into the turn lane. I hit the brakes immediately but she was too close and we ended up crunching bumpers.

I was so scared - I'm surprised I kept myself from crying until I called my dad. I was convinced the entire front end was all crumpled, but when we pulled over to check the damage there was only a 6-inch crack. She didn't want to get insurance involved, but once I told Mom and Dad the story, they thought it sounded like she was uninsured... so now I kind of do want to file a police report.

I'm just so frustrated - I consider myself a good driver, but now I'm second guessing myself. Should I have paid more attention to the lane next to me? Was I distracted? I didn't think so...

Then, after dinner, Mom and Shannon were going to go to Wal-Mart in my car (crashed my parents' car), and I decided to go along, since I never did get my shopping done. Halfway there, the car kinda dies. We had to call Dad, and then had to limp to the gas station (still not sure if we ran out of gas or need a new battery - probably some combination of the two)... while at the gas station, I decided that based on the day I had, I needed junk food, so I ran inside. Got a bag of Ranch Corn Nuts, a bag of M&Ms, and a bottle of root beer so I could make a float. Then, Mom and Dad and Lauren went to Wal-Mart to see if they could buy a new battery, and they made it there and back no problem. Apparently I was not meant to be in cars (much less go shopping) today.

Got to watch Season 1 American Gladiators tonight, though. Even more cheese-tastic (my new word) than the later seasons everyone remembers and the new series (yes, it's possible. Watch this if you don't believe me.) Watching that really improved my mood.

I have luck like that with cars... I'm sorry if I passed it on to you. And I don't blame that girl for not wanting to get insurance involved... I have it, but I don't want to - it really does bump rates up really high. Good luck either way, and yes, the original American Gladiators is WAAAYYY better than any other.
