Quote of the Whenever I Feel Like Changing It
“And don 't forget, the next time you're planning a family vacation, consider visiting Genovia. A country of majestic mountains and sunbaked beaches, filled with friendly, peppy people. Come see us. Genovia awaits you.” – Joe, “The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement”

Okay, so I got one of the coolest things today. I went shopping for a new straightener (mine is pretty worn out, but it is at least 3 years old!), but Target didn't have the one I was looking for (Remington Wet 2 Straight is the best straightener out there!). They did, however, have "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? Treasures of Knowledge" on clearance for $10!

This version of "WITWICS?" is vastly different from the versions I played as a kid (I remember playing a version on my uncle's old Mac that had 8-bit graphics, and everything was that DOS green color), and the downside is that there are apparently only 8 mini-missions that you go on while trying to solve one big overarcing case. I think I've already solved at least 5. If I wanted to, I could have beat the entire game today. This is not fair. I need to find the old Deluxe version from the mid-90s (seems like that one had hundreds of possible cases), but the abandonware file I downloaded wouldn't work with Vista...

I guess this is what happens when a 24-year-old girl tries to play something aimed at ages 8 and up... The irony? Carmen Sandiego's the one that gave me all my geography knowledge. Has the student finally surpassed the teacher?

lol, poor chica. Abandonware? That's a new one...

Hehe I love it! :) This certainly takes me back...

Oh, I loved Carmen Sandiego! I'm not sure if I ever actually played the game, but my brothers and I adored the show. "Do it, Rockapella!" "All right, gumshoes." Ah... good times.
