Today was pretty much the best day ever for Sammie, my dog. This morning, kids from my dad's junior high small group came over to do yard work - our front yard looks great. They also worked in the backyard a little, and so Sammie got to make some new friends... friends who also gave her their pizza crusts. And then she got some little bits of Italian chicken that were left over from dinner, too!

After my (awesome) nap this afternoon, Dad told me that he found out that our bank might be going under, which is partially fine, since FDIC will cover my money if it does, but also partially sucks because I know one of the tellers, and I don't want her to be without a job. This also means that I might have to find a new bank, because I enjoy my no-fee checking, and the banks that might buy my bank don't offer fee-free checking. Is Wachovia a good bank? Washington Mutual? I know both of these banks have been bought out recently; if you use either one of these banks, do you think that either (or both) will be stable in the future?

What? I don't remember using the word "banks" so many times, and it reminded me of the song... I know. I'm a dork.

Also, my Cinematic Titanic tickets came in the mail yesterday... T-minus 14 days!
