Quote of the Whenever I Feel Like Changing It
“And don 't forget, the next time you're planning a family vacation, consider visiting Genovia. A country of majestic mountains and sunbaked beaches, filled with friendly, peppy people. Come see us. Genovia awaits you.” – Joe, “The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement”

[Error: unknown template qotd]I've met a handful of Christian celebrities: Michael Tait of DC Talk, Jody McBrayer of Avalon, Jerry Falwell (who was a way cool guy. It was like a secret we all got to keep among ourselves, this cool crowd-surfing, prank-pulling, UFC-loving Jerry Falwell. Liberty University wasn't the same after he died.), but the coolest celebrity meetings so far have been Lex van den Berghe of Survivor: Africa, and five members of the cast of MST3K.

Lex was at Paramount's Great America amusement park to celebrate the opening of "Survivor: The Ride" (which is probably the most awesome rollercoaster ever), and I had won tickets to the park that day as part of the park's "Great America Survivor" contest. While Shannon and I were riding the ride, the rest of the family had wandered over and met him and gotten his autograph for Shannon (who is a big Survivor fan). After we got off the ride, Lauren bragged how she had spotted him, and about two minutes later, we spotted him again and went up to say hi. He was a very nice guy, who remembered talking to Dad, and was cool about taking a picture.

(Let me draw your attention away from the massive sunburn on my nose.)

The cast of MST3K I met after seeing their Cinematic Titanic show in San Francisco. They are very nice people, and I had a hard time keeping my happiness under control. At least I managed not to totally embarrass my self. Pictures can be found here.
