Quote of the Whenever I Feel Like Changing It
“And don 't forget, the next time you're planning a family vacation, consider visiting Genovia. A country of majestic mountains and sunbaked beaches, filled with friendly, peppy people. Come see us. Genovia awaits you.” – Joe, “The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement”

"Party in My Tummy" from Yo Gabba Gabba. Yes, I know.

It went like this: I was watching Pop Up Video on VH-1 Classic, and they showed the video for REM's Shiny Happy People. They mentioned that REM appeared on Sesame Street to do a version of it they called "Furry Happy Monsters." I've seen it, it's pretty funny - more like "Furry Bipolar Monsters." I showed it to my sister, who then remembered a video she had seen on YouTube of this green stripey monster singing about how there's a party in his tummy and all the food he's eating wants to join in.

So she showed it to us. It is pretty funny, in a strange, on-crack kind of way. (It is aimed at preschoolers, so there can be allowances.) At one point, the carrots and green beans start crying because they're not being digested yet. But for the past few days, it still likes to camp out in my head every so often. Darn her.

And of course, I'm passing the savings on to you, because by writing about it here, I'm more than likely going to have it stuck in my head again, and I am not suffering alone.

I do apologize. Here's a palate cleanser made of pure, unadulterated awesome.

Yo Gabba Gabba is F'ED UP. I don't even know. I used to love it, though, when they'd show clips on The Soup.

I imagine the "Party is My Tummy" song is meant to get kids to eat their vegetables. I can't but help but think that I would have seen right through that as a three year old.

"Amy, the green beans want to go to the party in your tummy!"

*Skeptical face*: "Green beans can't talk!"
